My Network TV, WQMY, is proud to be a sponsor of The 5th Annual Coaches vs. Cancer of NEPA is in full swing and many of our local High Schools Boys and Girls Basketball teams have begun fundraising to help the American Cancer Society fund its life-saving mission of helping people Stay Well, Get Well, Find Cures and Fight back and Create a World with more Birthdays. Schools are also putting the spotlight on cancer and ways to prevent it and make life choices as to hopefully avoid cancer.
Boys and Girls Basketball games have special meaning as the Coaches don their sneakers during their annual Suits and Sneakers Game. At these games across the two basketball conferences there will be promotional banners hung to commemorate it as the Coaches vs. Cancer Game.
