Second Child Sexual Assault

For the second time in a week police in Wilkes Barre are investigating the sexual assault of a child. The second assault happened in the rolling hill mills section of the city. The attack comes only 3 days after a different 9 year old girl was raped in the heights section of the city, but police say the incidents are not connected. Police say the attacker knew the girl and does not pose a threat to the public. More>>

Sexual Assault In Library

Wilkes Barre police are investigating after they arrested a man they say assaulted a woman inside the Osterhout public library on South Franklin Street. It happened during library hours with children inside the building at the time. Police say Leon Crosby attacked the woman while she was putting away books. At his arraignment Crosby blamed mental illness and drug issues for the attack. More>>

Deadly Truck Accident

A truck driver is dead after three tractor trailers collided in Columbia County. The deadly crash caused major traffic delays on Interstate 80 near Bloomsburg. State police say 3 tractor trailers were traveling on interstate 80 near Bloomsburg when one truck lost control and collided with another causing a chain reaction crash. A driver of one of the trucks died at the scene. More>>

Combating West Nile Virus

There have been 2 confirmed cases of the West Nile Virus in Lycoming County so far this summer. Officials are now trying to stop the threat of that potentially deadly virus from spreading. The state is loading up trucks and bringing out heavy equipment after samples showed signs of the virus. The DEP is using truck and even ATVs to get spray close to target areas. More>>

Death Investigation

A person was found dead in a hotel pool in Monroe County, and it appears to be an accident according to the coroner. The drowning happened at about 4:00PM at the Smithfield Township Days Inn. The 22 year old was from Brooklyn New York and was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner has an autopsy scheduled to find the official cause of death. More>>

Speed Limits Increasing

Speed Limits Increasing

The speed limit has been raised to 70 miles per hour on some Pennsylvania Roads. The speed limit was increased on nearly 100 miles of the Turnpike from Blue Mountain to Morgantown. Also, starting next month, a pilot program will bring an increased speed limit to parts on Interstate 80 in Central Pennsylvania, and Interstate 380 in the North Pocono area. More>>
