Boy Continues To Recover From Freak Accident

It has been just over a month since a Schuylkill County boy was critically injured in a freak accident. 7 year old Mikey Allen of Pottsville was playing outside when he was struck by a boulder. Mikey was struck in the head by a boulder after it broke loose and rolled down a hill. The boy suffered a fractured skull and was placed in a medically induced coma. More>>

Body Identified

The body of a woman that was found in a private pond in Ransom Township over the weekend has been positively identified as a missing Luzerne County woman. The Lackawanna County coroner has confirmed that the body is that of 56 year old Diane Zavislak. The Kingston Township woman has been missing since November. More>>

Baby's Death Ruled Homicide

Two months ago a baby from Luzerne County died, and now his death has officially been ruled a homicide. Two month old Jaxon Eckrote died in February inside his East Noble Street home in Nanticoke. A coroner has found that the boy died from asphyxiation. Police will not comment on the ongoing investigation. More>>

Deadly Fire Ruled Suspicious

It is still unknown how a deadly fire in Wilkes Barre started but investigators say that it is suspicious. Police are seeking cell phone records from the former boyfriend of 51 year old Lori Merritt. Lori was killed in the fire in her Wyoming Street home from carbon monoxide poisoning. A search warrant indicates that her family believes her ex-boyfriend was involved. More>>

Fire Destroys Restaurant

A landmark restaurant in Montour County is in ruins after a fire. Bj’s Steak and Rib House was destroyed after flames ripped through it. Customers were inside when the fire started, but everyone was able to make it out without injury. The owner of the restaurant says that they plan to stay in the area, whether or not they have to rebuild in a new building. More>>
